What TechGlance.net is going to be.

TechGlance.net. That’s TechGlance’s expansion from Twitter to a real website. But what’s going to be on it?

Here’s the game plan right now:

-Tech News sourced from other websites. Like what we do right now on our Twitter account.

- Tech Tips and Tricks. These will be written by TechGlance.

-Exclusive Beta Invites to various Web 2.0 services, with our partner @InviteShare.

- Tech Deals and Free Stuff. It’s a recession. Who doesn’t want discounted or cheap stuff? I certainly do.

- Product Reviews, for mostly new gadgets/electronics. Unless companies send us stuff, I don’t think so.

Why it is taking so long to launch?
I’m a student. I have exams coming up. That’s that. It’s also a one man team. No paid developers. All the coding/design will be done by myself. If you would like to help, tell me.

Any suggestions? Leave a comment below.

Want to be TechGlance’s Featured User?

Now. Our Featured User. Huh, what’s that, you ask?
Well, go to our Twitter Profile page and you’ll see, on the background, an ad for @TwitterBGallery. Being the month’s Featured User will allow you to get this ad space. Now, why would I want to do that, you ask? To gain more followers, of course!
Can you imagine, your banner gets viewed by 15,000+ followers on TechGlance?
Your banner will get a month’s view of views (starting from the 7th on each month).

So, how much will this cost? $15 a month. That’s less than $0.5 a day, or the cost of a can of coke a day.
But instead of buying a Coke and killing yourself, you could gain 1000+(see note) followers, and therefore more traffic to your blog, and therefore more money. It’s up to you.

Notes
* I can’t guarantee the number of followers you can gain, although the current advertiser, @TwitterBGallery gained over 2000 followers in the month of February.
* You create YOUR own banner. Make sure it’s attractive for people to look at it, and then possibly they will follow you. The dimensions are 211x487 pixels. I Prefer a .png file, or a .jpeg/.jpg if possible. No .psd’s please.
* A long term discount is possible, just ask.

Interested? The first to email techglance@joshh.otherinbox.com gets a discount of $10/month.

AdCause.com? What’s Up?

AdCause.com eh? Are you sick of them?

Well, it’s for a good cause. We’re going to donate 100% for the money we make from advertising AdCause to charity. Achoo! I’m allergic to bullshit you say. Well, we’re going to prove it after the contract in a month’s time.

OR

We’ll get rid of those ads, and lose the money. And kill a starving child. It’s up to TechGlance reader. No, it’s seriously up to you. Huh, how? A Poll. Below. Answer that question!

    GlanceNotes? What?

    Notice the word “Notes”.

We’re an official blog, yes. But it doesn’t mean we have to be formal. Notes are rough round the edges.
So, the rule to this Tumbleblog is: No wine, only Beer!

Anyways, on the serious side, this is the blog to look for cool stuff happening around TechGlance. Stick around.
